At a formal financial institution, less than one in four Africans has a bank account. It involves owning a bank account or getting access to credit, savings or insurance programs. The lack of access to primary financial services is basically a vicious circle of poverty and results eventually in slowing down the progress of Africa’s economic growth and development.
